For this assignment, you will consider an interaction you had with another person over the last few days, and complete the four parts outlined below. You can reference Skinner (1957) p. 38 for an example Speaker-Listener diagram as a support for completing this assignment. Create a document with each part of the assignment clearly indicated (you can choose to draw your diagram by hand and include a photo of it in your assignment OR create it electronically). (A) Once you have decided on an interaction to utilize for your assignment, you will diagram this interaction as in Figure 1.1 (from Ming et al (2023), shown below), showing both: (1) the scenario/script and (2) the Speaker/Listener diagram including the interlocking contingencies as sources of antecedent and consequential control within these interactions. (B) Identify the relevant motivating operations for the speak and/or listener in this example. (C) Describe the role of audience as a controlling variable in this example. (D) Notice how your behavior influenced the other’s behavior. If you changed one of your responses, how would that change the whole interaction?
