You will explore how citizens hold government accountable. You will attend a recent local civic meeting or research a policy issue. Then you will create a summary visual.
Steps:
Choose to attend a local civic meeting or research a public policy issue for this assignment.
If you choose to attend a local civic meeting, complete the Local Civic Meeting Template. If you choose to research a public policy issue, use the Public Policy Issue Template.
Document your research. To accomplish this, either provide documentary information about the local civic meeting or cite the sources you used during research. Check out the Citation Reference Guide for more info on how to cite sources in this course.
Create an appropriate visual, like a graph, diagram, map, photo, artwork, or information graphic, that supports a conclusion about a policy issue from the civic meeting or your selected policy issue.
Combine your visual, other information from the template, and citations into a presentation. You may present your work as a slideshow, brochure, speech, article, letter to an elected official, or podcast.
Submit your complete presentation to your instructor.
