Throughout the semester, you have been introduced to the major components of both facility and event management, including planning, financing, marketing, implementation, and evaluation. This assignment provides students with the opportunity to research and prepare an event operation plan, including the basis for effectively managing sport, recreation, and leisure facilities and events by way of theoretical and practical considerations.
The purpose of this assignment is to allow students to display competency in event management and strategic development, while applying concepts and integrating the relevant disciplines and materials presented during this course.
Students will be divided into teams to create and develop an event operation plan for a new event of choice (e.g., 10K road race, food-truck rally, charity gala, film screening, sports tournament, etc.)
The paper should adhere to APA style guidelines, be at least 12 double-spaced pages in length (including cover and reference pages) and incorporate a minimum of 2 scholarly sources.
