As part of course, students will have to complete a report on the book “Good to Great”. It is a standard part of my teaching to have students read business books. I believe it is vital for students to get into this habit to foster life-long learning. This is a classic general business book that offers comparisons between “good” companies and “great” ones and why based upon research over years. It is not a logistics focused book, but a leadership focused book. This assignment requires the students to summarize the main themes of the book and to apply the main themes to real experiences in previous jobs, military exercises, or service experiences. The total paper should be 6 to 9 pages (max) excluding a cover page (double space). The report is to be turned in on the day of class specified in the schedule. Part of good writing is getting feedback from someone who can help you with your writing. Late submission will not be accepted. All the papers should be turned in though Canvas.
